    Beijing 2008 Olympic Organizing Committee Multi-language project -an intelligent information service system For the Olympic Games The Research Center of Computer & Language engineering,Chinese Academy of Sciences under Huajian Group has undertook a national high-tech research development plan -863 Project' Multi-language machine translation system for the Olympic Games' . The project is based on the core technology(IMT/EC863) of Huajian Group which has obtained "national scientific and technological progress award" and "second-class scientific and technological progress, Chinese Academy of Sciences Award" . It has developed an information systems of multi-language translation, which provide a high-quality translation function and translation services for a wide range application scenes. The research results have realized synthesis, overall, multilingual, customized information service by a multi-language information processing platform for the first time in the history of Olympic Games. It will make evryone easyly get various information related to the Olympic Games in any place freely and in anywhere conveniently. At the same time it will greatly enhance the understanding and friendship between Chinese and the people of other countries, and realize the final goals of ' people's Olympics' and 'High-tech Olympics' better.

     The World Expo multilingual information project is undertaken together by Shanghai Expo Information Service Co., Ltd and Huajian Electronics Co., Ltd. of Huajian Group. The project was started in October of 2005, and passed acceptance check in May of 2008. It mainly uses the technologies of Huajian Group with independent intellectual property rights, and is developed independently, with the aim of solving the problems in communication, inquiry and information announcement in different languages on the Expo. It will provide different solutions according to different situations and also a multilingual information processing integrated platform for the World Expo.

     The project “standard computer-aided translation system (English-Chinese / Chinese-English two-way version)” of China National Institute of Standardization undertaken by Huajian Group of Chinese Academy of Sciences has been completed smoothly through the cooperation and continuous efforts of both sides. The system has been put into operation and received good result.
     "The standard computer-aided translation system (English-Chinese / Chinese-English two-way version)”has realized computer-aided translation facing international standard, ensuring standardization and normalization of terms, definitions and diction in standards and making the compiling of standards more accurate, high-efficient and convenient. The design of the system accords with the re-set target of the project, meets the demand of the other party and promotes the overall quality and efficiency of translation of standards. This has important realistic meaning and far-reaching influence in following foreign advanced standards and international standards and promoting development of foreign trade. It has a prosperous future in social and economic benefits.
